Staff at the award winning Bridlington Fish and Chip shop, 149 Fish and Chips, are cycling to help raise funds for Sports Relief on 23rd March.
Joint owner John Hutchinson said, “Our aim is to raise as much money as possible for sports relief and we’re doing that in two ways.
The first is on Saturday 15th March our staff throughout our opening hours will be continuously cycling a training bike outside both of our shops In Bridlington and Barnard Castle. We hope our customers and passers-by will support us in our efforts.
The second event we’re taking part in is a 50 miles bike ride around Manchester, it starts and finishes at Old Trafford football stadium. Again staff from both Bridlington and Barnard Castle are taking part.”
Suzanne Gilbertson, joint owner of 149 Fish and Chips commented, ”We have great staff and as soon as we suggested we should do something for Sports Relief we were really heartened at their response and willingness to raise money for good causes.
We’ve been out training and getting fit for the event and there’s a real buzz from everyone looking forward to the events. We’re hoping that people in Bridlington will get behind our efforts.”
