The sun as it went down last night had some beautiful colour and it inspired an interpretation that is perhaps more painting than photograph.

It is difficult to understand the sheer scale of the cliffs at Bempton until you actually experience them. The Gannets are back and so are the humans to watch them. Both are dwarfed by the size of the cliffs in this picture and are almost impossible to see. The inlay of the viewing point gives a sense of the scale. Click to view at full size.
